May Be Metric Is Better After All

Remember me ranting about the metric system, that how stupid it is to use a unifying system that is built on logic rather than chaos? For instance, stating the damage of a scratch on your car in an insurance paper with units like Equators is much more convenient.

Well, maybe being on metric scale isn’t so bad after all. Can you tell the above mentioned appears somewhat unreasonable? Maybe the metric system is made for you the. What brought the change in me? Boy, I don’t know, but that’s not my point. My point is that I from now on fully support it and that’s how you, Imperially-Royal-Mile-Inch-kinda-guy, come in. I’ll help you convert to the bright side of life? With metric units? Or the dark, which would be more fun anyway,… The clou being the conversion to the metric system…

You Don’t Know Me At All

Nice song. Cool video (WTF? this is not the official video?). I dance to the song according to the moves showed video. Up’n'down. You Don’t Know Me by Ben Folds feat. Regina Spektor.

Also I think the guy silhouette looks like Josh Leo, as far as I can tell.

You know you missed 2008 when…

Unless your hibernation cycle coincides with the last weeks of December (lucky poor you, must have missed Christmas drinking as well), you can’t help but notice that the year of 2008 has finally winded down. Generally 2008 can be filed as a year full of ups and downs…

The Biggest Tele-Communicational Scam

I hope this blog entry reaches you just in time, namely before we enter the New Year of 2009. It’s never too late to reveal some sort of scandal that we’re all affected by, isn’t it? And if it belongs into the telecommunication scam genre, we’re all more than happy to hear about it. Especially on New Years Eve where we sent tons of texts wishing a Happy New Year and stuff. Before I break the news to you, I promise that knowing the following thing can be unsettling. However, the champaign will still be likely to be tasty this evening - or afternoon, you can never start drinking too early.

Daddy’s Old Fashion and Yet Hip Glasses

Look what I’ve found. My dad found his old some 30 year old glasses. They’re old fashioned, but I’m sure that some hipster is running around with one of these. They are nearly as cool as my aviators as seen in this marvelous picture in Salzburg

daddysglasses1

Oldschool (and yes, underneath the glasses are my accounting notes and books that I no longer can run away...)

Guess what? Rumor has it that glasses like these are about to be “in” again. That rumor has me pray that I can retain my perfect eagle sight…

Tis the Season - In the ER

Sorry to interrupt your Christmas Eve ceremony. But I just wanted to drop a quick note that tis most definitely the season. You know it’s Christmas when Phil has to rush into the Emergency Room of the hospital in Krems. Don’t worry, it’s nothing serious, just a failed attempt of cutting my middle finger apart. In the bathroom the incident happen. Wait, I sense a deja vu…

Don’t be offended by any seasonal Ho ho ho shoutings into your general direction, also don’t take it seriously if I have to flip you the bird in order to have you inspect the cut.

Happy Holiday Season 2008

I was you a happy holiday season, no matter what you’re celebrating, may it be the result of sucking up to Santa Claus, the Christkind, Papa Noel or who and what ever in order to maximize the quote of presents-received. However,  the reason you give when being asked why you look forward to Christmas it should looks something like “Because family and friends get together” and - who are we kidding -”Because of the food!” I’d accept these answers.

People tend to forget the real reason of the holidays. The above mentioned and because some baby Jesus was born… Let’s not go into detail on that one. I tried to incorporate the crucial family thought in my own home-made Christmas cards. So very festive holiday vibes to you, my lieber Reader!
