Blast From The Past

Getting a blast from the past, can make you feel pretty nostalgic. Last weekend I spend a couple hours browsing You-Tube’s diversity of music videos. Eventually, I came across with Bon Jovi’s songs on the video platform. Anyway, I discovered “It’s My Life” (2000) and “You Give Love A Bad Name” (1986). Maybe you’d get something like a “flashback” out of that, too. Read on, because I’ll take you back to the 80s!

It’s my life and it’s now or never.

When listening to “It’s My Life” I realized two major things. First, I wasn’t aware of how much encouraging power you could get out of that song (a tad selfish, but who cares, because “it’s my life, it’s now or never, I’m going to live forever”). Second important point is, that I asked myself what happened in the last 7 years and I was like “Wooooow, that went fast“. I do have some sort of emotional attachment to that song, I admit it.

So as I said earlier, I also discovered “You Give Love A Bad Name” and speaking about blasts from the past, I was wondering how “older people” feel about listening to songs directly coming from the youth back in the 60s, 70s and 80s. Watching the older song in today’s entry, made me very thankful, that hairstyle did change. *Gasp*.

My point: I am sure that music can help you remember things, burn into your mind and make it easy to think back. Knowing what you did in your past, can give you an insight in what’s to come in your life. And that is a lovely cheesy way to end this entry. Watch those two videos. Enjoy.

In addition to the Jon Bovi-heavy entry today, I’d like to point out that video, I stumbled upon: Let It Rain by Jon Bon Jovi wiht Pavarotti (who passed not too long ago — 1936 - 2007)
