Get Green-Active, Creative And Fight
Here’s the motto for the upcoming winter: Get Creative And Fight Global Warming. Why? I attached a video of satellite (Thanks Sputnik) images showing the melting of the arctic ice. At the end of the post you will see a pretty original idea on how to recycle.
No more ATOM-ROFLs on PHIL’s Blogging. “Dude, it’s so not green!”
In today’s entry we will discuss “green”-ness since the committee of the Nobel prize puts an emphasis on it by giving the Nobel peace prize to Al Gore (An Inconvenient Truth). You know, it’s now a big deal for me too, because genius minds think alike (maybe not simultaneously). Just kidding. You may smile, roll over the floor laughing, not too hard though. And most importantly no atom-rofls since this entry is supposed to be green. Nuclear powered laughers are not considered as green. Right? No CO2 sucking plant was slaughtered for my posting.
Tell me, what can I do.
- Calculate your impact on the environment. By doing this quiz you will find out how big your footprint on Mother Nature actually is. Use the biggreenswitch.co.uk or green.yahoo.com calculator.
- Reduce CO2 Emissions by following the recommended tips to save energy that the quiz spits out.
- Get creative and think about how you can make your natural footprint more adorable. Adorable, because I associate small, tiny baby feet.
Sounds pretty easy and I’d be hypocritical if I said that I do everything in my power to fight global warming. I’ll try. This video really made me contemplate:
Recycling is the key to new living room furniture, right?
Finally, after I had found this page (borisbally.com) I came to the conclusion that being green does NOT necessarily equal being lame. No, on the contrary, you can have tons of fun recycling old traffic signs and build fun furniture and other useful things.
At this point, I’d like to mention that it is quite a common (that should be considered felony) to steal traffic signs of constructions sites when being drunk. I’ll not point fingers now. I just heard from a guy who used to date that girl who knows this fellow that has a brother who once did that. Just kidding. Anyway, Boris gets the signs legally and has come up with an extremely extra-ordinary idea. Congrats!

Okay and to come to an end of this beautiful entry I’d like to quote the OC. They are basically discussing what to give away for the first prize of the raffle:
Summer: you know what, an why are we raffling off a gas guzzling S.U.V ugh (screws up her face) [...] when we could give away a hybrid.
Girl 1: Air quality is so important.
Girl 2: I know (raises eyebrows) we breathe it .
