Outlook

Now that I am out of high school, I realized (how? As you can see in the cloud tag, school-related items have a bigger font size) that I had definitely put the focus of entries on school and school-related topics. I really enjoyed bringing so-called “Versprecher” (slips), pictures and updates about stories that were about to develop. However, things will change. Having work and social service approaching does have an impact on how I see things. I do make my own money now and it is quite comfortable, believe me.

So back to my blog: Everything seems to be more global nowadays. Visitors from over 45 countries hit my page in the last three months (mostly not intentionally, I assume, but still) — on top of the global factor, I have never had so many visitors, so thanks to you, lieber Reader. And since I have been able to record an increasing (in numbers) readership, I decided to pimp my blog. You can read in my last post (Open Letter) what has already changed.
So the outlook for the blog is quite bright. I have enjoyed blogging so far, I’ll keep going for reaching out for even more visitors. So if you have any suggestions of what I could work on, improve, let me know, drop off a couple of lines (Contact form).

New ideas would broaden the topics of my blog immediately. So I basically spent the last weeks contemplating about what I could add. So that’s what I’ve come up with. New topics, new categories:

  • Blogging — How to and what to! – I will publish some tips about how to set up a blog easily and what you should consider in case you want to start operating your own blog. I will choose English, since blogging seems to be to be more global and would attract visitors from all over.
  • Going Abroad — Where could I go? What Program to participate in? Exchange student programs? — I know a couple of people who have approached me to enquire about going abroad, participating in an exchange program or just traveling to some places. What I like about this idea is, that I could bring in my own experience and open the door for others to contribute. In the run of the next view months, I will come up with a solution that fits my ideas. Not sure yet, whether to use German or English. I’ll probably chose German, since the target group would be European, mostly Austrian. Don’t throw a stone at me, if I soundly switch to English.
  • Englisch Idiom and Sayings — I realized that blogging isn’t just about spitting out ironic and sarcastic short posts. I like the project of funny education, since there would be a lot of material to publish. I will not ran out of sayings in English and German. Wouldn’t it be fun to compare Austrian, German and English sayings and just make fun of how confusing and irritating language gaps can be. I like it.

One might ask himself or herself why I am adding new stuff. Well according to the newest research of blogging results, it turns out to be quite good for a blog to be dedicated to a certain niche. Mine then would be some English word games, traveling & exchange programs, blogging and personal items. Kind of a big project, but I’d love to handle that since I have plenty of ideas.

What do you think about adding new categories to my blog?

Wow. Mach weiter so!
