Begging For 3G

Look at this freak, his iPhone is so last year.

In late June (obviously the iPhone month in the US) a new generation of beggers has emerged. Unlike homeless people living in the streets, these people already have what they wanted. Too bad their iPhone (first generation, obviously) now is “so last year.” A point that gets rough on them. An explanation for this and even more, after the jump.

Therefore, they are begging for a iPhone 3G or the plan they come with. That form of begging is also known as Begging 3G consisting out of 3 levels…

  • Avoiding marriage eruption caused by request for fund-release of technical gadgets. That Blackberry you wanted so badly before the iPhone 1.0 was already supposed to be the only tech crap (in the eyes of a non-tech-savvy wive) within years. At least that was the initial claim.
  • Giving into peer pressure. What will people think of you if you don’t get that iPod touch update for ~10 bucks?
  • Finding additional use of the Apple mug you bought yourself for Christmas last year. Using the mug will give you a boost in raising money for the display of utter loyalty. Thus, you are hoping that with two generations of iPhones you will find even more options in your life since that Apple mug turned out to be hugely handy.

    That’s a good one…

It’s too bad, that Apple couldn’t come up with a program for the iPhone ver1 owners to upgrade to the ver2. It would solidify them better as a consumer oriented company. They seem to ‘listen’ to consumer demands and requests for new ‘features’…so I’m sure they saw this coming…

Maybe the carriers themselves will have some sort of incentive that will allow ver1 users to ‘trade in’??
