Convenient Now, Not So Then
As much as we enjoy our convenient, “advanced” technologies nowadays, we shouldn’t just continue without thinking of consequences. The consequences can be huge and affect our lives. Taking a step backwards in development like giving up driving cars and other “conveniences” carrying a fully packed carbon emissions heavy rucksack will be a pain for us, who know what life looked like without coping with the huge consequences that will take action in years from now.
While the Chinese economy is booming, the skies above its cities are darkening. One of the biggest causes is the phenomenal growth in the number of cars and exhaust emissions [...] WWF expressed one tip in dramatic fashion by inflating a huge black cloud shaped balloon behind a car to illustrator the pollution produced by car emissions.
Have you ever wondered if you will be an old grandpa who has his grandchildren on his lap, telling them about diesel-fueled cars and kerosine-powered airplanes? The future will bring a change. Research will come up with plans, hopefully. Technology will advance. Solar panels, wind wheels… And what would be a environmentalist-activist blog entry without a conspiracy theory: The oil industry buys fuel-efficient car plans so they can charge us. Shocker?
We are the present and logically our present actions shape the future. Let’s hope this change is for the better.
Do I sound like Obama overusing the word change? Heard of the Obama Drinking Game? Every time he says CHANGE or HOPE, take a shot of liquor. You will be drunk in no time. Around second 21, or so, depending on your tolerance level. College students already ended up in hospital as a result of the Obama Drinking Game:
Someone suggested we take a drink every time he says ‘Change‘. Then we started drinking on ‘Hope‘. Next thing I knew, I woke up in the emergency room.

I take the bus to work, but when I’m waiting at the busstop.. I see about 85% of cars with only one person in them. CAR POOL…save gas, and save the environment… It’s simple things like that which will make an impact in the long run.
