Schuster Bleib Bei Deinen Leisten (Cobbler, stick to your last) - Skiing, that is.

In opposition of my actual decision to declare my blog as a Euro 08 free zone I will now elaborate on the attempt of enforcing national pride in all of Austria. Being the co-host (next to Switzerland) we are automatically qualified and allowed to participate in the run for the title Europameister. But that, my dear Austrian fellows, is it. We didn’t make it into the upper end of the soccer pyramid, and that is a euphemism for “Austria, your soccer team just sucks!” - Do the jump, I have something really good in store.

In hope of establishing a euphoria that boosts Austria’s performance in the upcoming games just like in Germany during the WM 2006, Austrian cars now feature a remarkable flag, a banner of red white red (Rot-Weiß-Rot). I actually do not mind flags being omnipresent, how could I possibly survived in the US then, right?

But come on guys, this is ridiculous! What is your point? You can only boost something that is already there. That actually is simplest physics. If you put Zero into force, it, even if you try very very hard, equals nothing, nada, rien,… 

Plus, here is my not-so-vague look into the future. After the first game Austria shows its ability, 60% of the flags that now have been enthusiastically positioned onto cars will disappear due to reality anxiety.

However, I could be wrong. I have absolutely no idea of what the Austrian team is capable of accomplishing or - my tip - not. So let’s force some national pride onto us. Instead of handing out flags, I’d volunteer to distribute these special kind of pills (originally found on davesdaily.com). Another point I’d add to the list of symptoms it fights: Failing national team in Euro 08. One last thought: I’m afraid 1000 mg isn’t going to get us far, maybe, optimistic calculations set the running out of Fukotil in the 68th minute in the Austria - Croatia game on Sunday. 

Excuse my ranting, but those “Euro-Crazy I have an Austrian Flag On My Car And Support Our Troups Team Nonetheless” people are a major nuisance to me.
