Mini Orientation And My Branch

Part 4 of The Ultimate Guide To College

What about IBA students, huh?

I wonder where Business Administration students are depicted in this comic (outer right, I guesstimate), because as it is now, it is the branch (International Business Administration) I’ll pick most likely - 70% and gaining… After the jump, you’ll find out how my mini orientation went!

Today, Thursday I got one day off for jumping in on Saturday. I seized the opportunity to do some mini orientation with a friend, who studies Business Law and today’s lecture was an optional class I could possibly pick if I studied International Business Administration. • University professors are doing their thing. They don’t come running after you if you missed a deadline or something. I already knew that, but I saw this in action for the first time and I haven’t even enrolled, so that must be true, then, right?
  • There are stupid questions in university, too, so no escaping that, poor Phil.
  • The university building is so old-school, must have been modern ages ago. Too bad the building will be a construction site for the majority of my studies. They speak of a completion in 2013. At that time, I want to be more “finished” then in my “first years.”

To enroll at WU Wien I’ll have to show my A-levels certificate (Maturazeugnis) and a passport. That is pretty much it. Oh yeah, and pay for the first semester 360 Euro. Starting next Monday (June 16, 2008) you can start signing up and then you receive an appointed day where you show up at the University and pass the enrolling process.
