Just another reason why not to join the Austrian army. The level is getting lower and lower. Obviously. Krocha or jumpstyle, they’re obnoxious proletarians, aren’t they? Or is it just the envy talking from my subconsciousness because my Jumpstyle Krochen doesn’t look that good? — Check out some Austrian recruits (Youtube video)! Bam oida. Schicht is Pflicht!
Fact is, that this video - I’m afraid - shows only the tip of the prolo-iceberg (another Youtube video on Kroch’n Oida) that we have on radar right now. It’s fortunate that there is no such trend in the US or any other anglophone country, so this is just another score for the English speaking world. Besides, this trend hopefully vanishes soon because people who now do “krochen” will adapt any other trend in 6 months. Once the industry wants to make easy money again. This round - English:German = 1:0.

Sorry, I can’t relate to the to local dismay regarding this topic, but I haven’t heard much about this dance style in Canada. I discovered it about a year or so ago on youtube.. and then I saw some idiot make a fool of himself on TV.
There is a show called So You Think You Can Dance… and he tried to do this dance, and probably gave a whole bunch of people a skewed view of what the dance is really like. Check out the youtube video if you’re curious.

Back to the video clip - I know this show. There is a spin off in Germany I think. Of course, we got Dancing with the Stars or Strictly Come Dancing or as we call it Dancing Stars (we take English phrases and make a show sound cooler - the Austrian way of nomenclature…)
And again, you should be happy to not be able to relate to Krocha crap.
Why don’t you like the dance? I’ve seen a few video’s where the people doing it were really good at it and it looked extremely fluid. Almost like they were on ice… It was pretty cool.

Canada, Being the neighbor to the US, barely gets it’s own spin off shows. We just watch the US crap… we don’t bother creating a Canadian version of the crap. LOL
Oh, don’t get me wrong. The recruits doing this dance are fun to watch. It’s the whole hype, the “culture” they created (ridiculous way of clothing and revival of neon basketball caps) is bugging me. If you were in Austria and had more insight into this trend, then, well, you probably wouldn’t have a different opinion. Most of my friends think it’s ridiculous, too.

würde es keine zivis geben wäre die versorgung durch rtw und ktw in österreich nicht mehr gegeben und ich denke jeder würde bei einem notfall in der familie kein verständnis haben wenn das rettungsauto mehr als 30 minuten brauchen würde oder man unsummen zahlen müsste um zu nachbehandlungen ins spital zu kommen.
