Something Big, Something Horrendous

Natascha Kampusch, caught for 8 years. Another Austrian Women with their incest children were just released from a 24 (this is not a typo) years of living a life in terror, horrendous conditions and tyranny. The second case only two years after the causa Kampusch that makes every rational approach superfluous… Just like Belgium’s Marc Dutroux, Austria will have to fight with the image of child molesting perverts. It is peculiar that criminals are directly associated with their nationality.

Water-boarding is still officially allowed by US law after the Democrats have tried to fight against the President’s veto on this controversial topic. This is something big, too. Watch the Amnesty International anti-water-boarding commercial.

World news (and even local news in the incest basement prison story in Lower Austria) can be depressing and makes you wonder what humans are willing to do when healthy mind stops working properly. Maybe that’s why I don’t like putting bad world news onto my blog that serves as an oasis shaped by things that I like to concentrate on. A big story like that made me break this “rule.” It’s just crazy.
