Today being 3/14 (American date format) I am happy to announce that Phil’s Blogging is going to hold Pi Day Celebrations. Here some facts about this oh so mathematically holy day:

• The Pi Second will strike on March 14 at 1:59:26 pm. Make sure you take in a solemn position!
• The Pi Approximation (Annäherung) Day is considered to be 22/7 (European Format - yep, that’s July 22), since 22/7 roughly equals Pi. The Pi Approximation Day comes second (in measures of “importance”) after Pi Day on March 14.
