A sunset tends to announce an end and the fact that it’s time for something new. I am practically done working at Dynea Austria. I enjoyed working there, thanks for all the kindness and have a great new year! I will rest up charging my batteries, so that I am ready for the next challenge: Community Service (Zivi) at the Red Cross Krems. Starting on January 2nd.

Wow. The weather in Austria really sucks right now. There’s nothing you can do but hang indoors doing TV show marathons, watching new movies (Kinky Boots — which I highly recommend, it is a fun flick and pretty funny in a pretty kinky way). So I can’t wait for the weather to be more decisive. Rain and cloudy sky OR sunny with cleared up sky. Please. So in the meanwhile (waiting for the weather to be more picturesque), I have to post some pictures of sunny Californ-I-A.

Since people in California (especially the friends and the extended family of the Bennetts) found out about my blog, I will do this very entry in English.

The feeling, that time is running out, makes me rather sad. I had such a wonderful time in this beautiful country and on top of that I really enjoyed being around the Bennetts and their friends. Thanks for all the warmth and the openminded way you approached me. It’s the nice people that made me feel home. I just can’t thank you enough! It is going to be pretty hard to leave behind all the new friends I have met this year.

Hey folks. Schau schau, die 5te Woche kommt schon angeflogen.
Wir haben fuer diese Woche, so hab ich den Eindruck, weniger vor als letzte Woche.
MON: Carmel Beach — Ein Strand, der von wunderschoenen kitschigen und teuren Hausern umzauent ist. Leider war es bewolkt, doch irgendwie konnte die Sonne doch durch (wenn ich die Aviator Brillen aufghabt hab, hab ich die Sonne gesehen). Bowling am Abend. Mr Bennett ist einfach ein Profi im Bowling. Der Rest der Boys-Night-Out Truppe war eigentlich ausgesprochen gut. Blake, Nathan und little Rex haben hin und wieder, manche mehr manche weniger Spares bzw Strikes geschafft. Ich war mit meiner Performance zufrieden, obwohl ich durchaus sucky war. Nathan hatte das Glueck an seiner Seite, anders koennen wir uns da snicht erklaren. Er hat einen 7-10 Split. Verfehlt beide und aufgrund von mysterioesen Umstaenden schafft er einen Spare. Ich mein, wie gehtsn dir?!

Fuer mich ist es hier die 4te Woche. Wie immer die Zeit vergeht schnell und wie immer sind wir busy.

Motorcycling with Hostdad. Wie konnte ich das vergessen. Er hat mir das angebieten und heck no I couldnt resist. War eine tolle Erfahrung, denn so etwas hab ich noch nie gemacht. Maximum speed (blacked out). Point Lobos war pretty pretty, das heisst wir muessen dort noch mal hin. Haben dort eine Grove gefunden, die sehr seicht ist, kaum Leute besuchen und ideal ist um Meerestiere zu beobachten. Mehr Bilder in der Gallery (Bilder von mir am Motorcycle kommen noch).

Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk — Ja, da kommen Erinnerungen hoch. Susi und ich haben voriges Jahr dort ihren 17. gefeiert. Im Nachhinein Alles Gute, Susi!
Diesmal haben wir wieder einmal ein Glueck mit dem Wetter gehabt. Wir sind angekommen und haben ein “overcast” gehabt. Also total bewoelkt und durch meine pure Praesenz, wie durch ein Wunder also, kommt langsam die Sonne hervor und, hell yes, hat sie mich erwischt. Sonnenbrand, wie’s im Doktorbuch geschrieben steht. Also diesmal gibts einen deutschen Entry, fuer alle die dem Englischen nach der hoffentlich fluessigen Maturareise nicht mehr maechtig sind. In den Comments will ich dann bald mal alle Geruechte, Updates und sonsitge News lesen.

Ich bin gerade von einem 7-day-trip nach Hause gekommen und ordne Bilder auf Blakes Computer. Wir haben verdammt viele Bilder. Wenn du die Bilder nicht eh schon in deiner Mailbox hast, dann warte bis sie im August online sind oder schreib mir ein Mail und ich leite sie dir weiter. Es kann sich nur um ein Missverstaendnis handeln, wenn du sie noch nicht hast. Gut. Also wo waren wir und was haben wir gemacht…
