Tax Payers’ Health vs Wallstreet’s Health

Nice logic: More tax payers, more bail out money being raised.

Check out one of the latest joyoftech.com comics. It’s all about the bail-out solution the government has come up with and one - admittedly - obvious question.

How come they can fund the bail-out with a couple of billions and NOT have the money to give people universial health care? Oh right, the US doesn’t want to slip into communism… I can see that… ;)

This piece of comic is definitely one of my faves. Check out a post I published a year ago featuring all my favorite Joy Of Tech comics.

Lingo Bingo #10: That’s Spanischer Buh-n-howf!

Whenever an attempt to communication or action fails, people get very creative when they encounter a lack of understanding. Both German and English have a vast repertoire listing expressions of incomprehension.

Proceed In The Face Of Utter Incomprehension -  Of course, people should always follow that rule, however, we have so many ways to let others know that we just didn’t get what the heck he or she was talking about. Buh-n-howf?

Begging For 3G

Look at this freak, his iPhone is so last year.

In late June (obviously the iPhone month in the US) a new generation of beggers has emerged. Unlike homeless people living in the streets, these people already have what they wanted. Too bad their iPhone (first generation, obviously) now is “so last year.” A point that gets rough on them. An explanation for this and even more, after the jump.

Mini Orientation And My Branch

Part 4 of The Ultimate Guide To College

What about IBA students, huh?

I wonder where Business Administration students are depicted in this comic (outer right, I guesstimate), because as it is now, it is the branch (International Business Administration) I’ll pick most likely - 70% and gaining… After the jump, you’ll find out how my mini orientation went!

There are certain signs that can tell you whether or not you’re in a healthy condition or relation to something you like in life. In case you feel like ticking all options and failed to find a Gmail-ish “Select All” button, it might already be too late, my dear friend. For you out there in desperate need of this button, I altruistically provide one. Take the test after the jump. Continue reading

Zivi Bits Of Wisdoms

Witty bits of wisdom come in all kinds of faces (that’s my bit of wisdom for today). And xkcd.com’s comic (I already showed their way of interpreting Valentine hearts, remember?) somehow has this word wit and is hilarity-packed. The two topics depicted below are so true! Techno basically sucks (and so do Krocha kids). Second comes a GPS (Global Positioning System - not GPRS, man,…) that tries to fool you into going the wrong direction and then suddenly changing its (I took its since people would have complained if i said “her”, however, our announcment voice, can’t fight facts - right?, is female) mind.

Happy Valentine’s Day With A Premise

Happy Valentine’s Day. It’s the happiest day for florists and candy&lingerie producers. Thanks to K-A-T-Y (my e-valentine) who recommended this comic and - oh what a coincident - pointed out this very Valentine’s Heart.
