An Earth In Need, Might Be A Problem Indeed

Global warming, the topic itself, is covered in any kind of news paper, blog or other kind of media. Ad nauseam. However, every once in a while I come across with a nice approach towards saving energy. The idea per se isn’t new for me, since I tend to automatically soak up any San Francisco related news like a sponge (again I recommend Metroblog SF - in an all new design, btw). Here’s the deal: Cities around the world decided to host a huge event where they turn off all their lights for an hour. San Francisco did that last October with the Lights Out San Francisco event. They originally planned a Lights Out America version that happens to coincide with Earth Hour day. Sydney gets the credit for the initiating process of Earth Hour. So, now they’re going global. Earth Hour. Continue reading

Get Green-Active, Creative And Fight

Here’s the motto for the upcoming winter: Get Creative And Fight Global Warming. Why? I attached a video of satellite (Thanks Sputnik) images showing the melting of the arctic ice. At the end of the post you will see a pretty original idea on how to recycle.

No more ATOM-ROFLs on PHIL’s Blogging. “Dude, it’s so not green!”

In today’s entry we will discuss “green”-ness since the committee of the Nobel prize puts an emphasis on it by giving the Nobel peace prize to Al Gore (An Inconvenient Truth). You know, it’s now a big deal for me too, because genius minds think alike (maybe not simultaneously). Just kidding. You may smile, roll over the floor laughing, not too hard though. And most importantly no atom-rofls since this entry is supposed to be green. Nuclear powered laughers are not considered as green. Right? No CO2 sucking plant was slaughtered for my posting. Artifical, Beautiful

Beautifully Artifical or Artifically Beautiful. – Landscape somewhere around San Diego, California. I so could have told that by what the landscape looks like: a golf course with some plam trees and expensive lawn. Love it.

Guinea Pig Barbecue

Look out of my windowSpring is slowly coming back after Mr. Winter stroke Austria once again (picture on the right: Look out of my window). I thought Austria would never expierence any kind of winter again, so says the ORF Themenschwerpunkt Klimawandel [focus on global warming; done by the Austrian National TV Station]. Sign an important Climate Change Petition.
My actual point is, that it’s getting warmer and so people are more likely to fire up their grill and have wonderful BBQ parties. Can you smell it too?
Weird people do it with guinea pigs.

Ooops…

Nature is generous. There will be a NEXT time. Life sometimes isn’t that fair. No allusion at all.

RUF - Dual Mode Transport
