Where is a truism: Some classes appear to last like forever. Excuse the simple langauge, but it seems to be the best way to put it in a nutshell. May it be a lack of interest, quality of the teaching personnel or what reason so ever that can distract you and tear down your attention span to a ridiculously small level.
