We Crash Into Each Other, Just So We Can Feel Something

I highly recommend this movie. I might even pick it up and talk about racism, it just doesn’t feel right now… Maybe more time has to pass, since in high school we were talking about it too much. Way too much. Anyway, here my favorite quote that is also featured in the background of the movie trailer.

It’s the sense of touch. In any real city, you walk, you know? You brush past people, people bump into you. In L.A., nobody touches you. We’re always behind this metal and glass. I think we miss that touch so much, that we crash into each other, just so we can feel something. (Graham in Crash)

The Sco-ish Experience

Scotland is such an overwhelming place in terms of scenery, people and culture. Arriving in Edinburgh Airport I didn’t expect to enter the land of Harry Potter and kitschy old buildings that are just mesmerizing. Follow my logbook about my trip to St. Andrews including a one-day trip to Edinburgh. Continue reading

Desperately Letting Go

Goodbye Housewives — You made my Monday evening so colorful in such a crazy fashion. Hope you come back soon and ORF gets them back on air as soon as possible. Here are some quotations that will make me miss that witty TV show. Make sure you don’t miss the season’s finale on ORF 1 (21:05).

Today’s entry is supposed to be a tribute to Season 3 with a couple of lines that reflects humor and drama. Continue reading

Yet Another Cheesy Quote

Fact is, that I felt like a cheesy quote (what else is better than Oprah’s BS?) since I realized that most of us are headed in opposite directions, going for their goals where most of us are going to face difficulties and challenging situations. Good luck to Stini, who is going to give birth to a wonderful baby soon-ish and all the others (mostly girls, arg!) who will start studying. Here is the absolute guide what you need in your dorm room and what’s important for succeeding in college: A Realistic Back to School Guide for College Students [paulstamatiou.com]. cheesy quotePicture by Jens Chapter

Congrats, Congrats to All Maturanten

They say there’s no one older than a high school senior, but no one younger than a college freshman. Well I guess now we’ll find out as we begin our journey.

Hab’ ich mir von OC gestohlen. Ich gratuliere allen die es schon hinter sich haben, und alle die es noch hinter sich bringen. CONGRATS!

Maturanten roughly equals graduates in Austria

Rhetorical Questions

“We have my mom’s Range Rover, we have the perfect alibi, as I go to this comic book convention every year, and we have my entire life of never doing anything wrong, which lulls my parents into a false sense of trust.”
“And you want to throw all that way for Summer in a wet t-shirt doing body shots?”

“I’m sorry, I thought that was a rhetorical question. Yes, Ryan, yes.”
