Surfing The World

Since I tried surfing last summer in Santa Cruz (see the surfer’s Statue to your right with parts of the SC Beach Boardwalk) and my surfing expertise looked quite semiprofessional after a 5-minutes-dry-practice, I want to keep you not-soau-courant-with-surfing guys up to date with the latest trend. Check out a video (after the jump) about surfing in a place where the common people aren’t likely to point at when it comes to top-notch global surfing spots.

Websites where you won’t lose touch with the surfing scenes are listed on Drift Surf Magazine’s blog directory. A British magazine that I like to flip through online. Love their blog. Time to Say Goodbye…

Since people in California (especially the friends and the extended family of the Bennetts) found out about my blog, I will do this very entry in English.

The feeling, that time is running out, makes me rather sad. I had such a wonderful time in this beautiful country and on top of that I really enjoyed being around the Bennetts and their friends. Thanks for all the warmth and the openminded way you approached me. It’s the nice people that made me feel home. I just can’t thank you enough! It is going to be pretty hard to leave behind all the new friends I have met this year. Continue reading

Nordic Board-Walking!

Santa Cruz BoardwalkSanta Cruz Beach Boardwalk — Ja, da kommen Erinnerungen hoch. Susi und ich haben voriges Jahr dort ihren 17. gefeiert. Im Nachhinein Alles Gute, Susi!
Diesmal haben wir wieder einmal ein Glueck mit dem Wetter gehabt. Wir sind angekommen und haben ein “overcast” gehabt. Also total bewoelkt und durch meine pure Praesenz, wie durch ein Wunder also, kommt langsam die Sonne hervor und, hell yes, hat sie mich erwischt. Sonnenbrand, wie’s im Doktorbuch geschrieben steht.
