80s' style

Rickrolling is THE internet phenomenon that emerged at that point where people started regularly recommending pages to friends and such. When people claim a link to a video or generally a page was of relevance to the topic at hand, but in fact isn’t and thus leads you to the a video of Rick Astley’s “Never Gonna Give You Up”. It’s the internet’s answer to Punk’d and even more than that. The funny thing is that you almost always succeed in rickrolling someone, because it aims at the Achilles’ heel of human nature: curiosity. Most of the times the URL provided doesn’t reveal anything about the content of what’s to pop up on the screen.

A ridiculously funny Rickrolling version and thus even more up to date in terms of popular culture is the Barackarolling or Obamarolling (depends on what terms you are with Obama himself). Have a go and rickroll your friends with Barack Obama’s rapping. This is beautiful and from now on my favorite song. I am not so much worried about Ray. It’s just that my wisdom tooth aftermath sucks pretty badly. Anyway, tomorrow I’ll up pictures of this year’s BRG prom. Looking forward to catching up with friends and teachers (although teachers are implied in friends, usually).
