When the year approaches its end, several media entities try to enforce their charity programs. PHIL’s Blogging follows suit. Christmas is not just a celebration with family, no, several people take the opportunity to look around and reach out to those who can’t live in prosperity like the majority of west civilization.

Freerice.com is an organization that offers an online quiz for English vocabulary. For each word you can assign a definition or similar word, the company donates 20 grains of rice to poor people. Train your vocabulary and help to fight starvation. If you feel like that idea, try it and do something good. Tell me how many grains you “free”ed to fight poverty and hunger.Speaking of donations: Did you know that Austria donates .48 % of its income to the Official Development Aid. Here’s a list of countries, that annually donate money to developing countries. Fighting the hunger is one of the biggest issues. The cost of elimination of world wide hunger is estimated at about $195 billion a year. Only 6 countries refused to participate. Guess who that is…

Tons Of Words

goodiesTons of Words, but where to put them? — Well, the very essence of fostering good language speaking and writing skills is training. This training turns out to be quite dependent on the individual. Some like it hot learning new phrases directly in conversations, others need a specific example written down right in front of them to really pick it up (long-term).

Learn more about how to improve your performance concerning language skills. This picture actually made me crack up, because whenever I studied for some test in high school, I had some popcorn pop in the microwave. You wanna know why? Pretty easy. For every right guessed vocab, I “was allowed” to have one popcorn. Yummie. It’s psychologically shown that goodies can help you learning. The News and Thoughts On It

1) Funny but I just found again a German vocab merged into an English text: I’ve just read that there (San Francisco Chronicle).

The annual gala has been a Symphony tradition for close to 100 years. Davies was bedecked with blue balloons and glittery silver trees, with sweeping blue sashes adorning the staircases.

2) An intelligent thought on the execution of Sadam.

I can’t decide which is worse:[..]
(A) The [primitive and pointless - depending on your opinion] execution of Saddam Hussein
[..] or (B) The fact that the execution can be viewed on YouTube.
